    Born in 1978 on March 23rd in the sunny city of Miami, Florida, Lavanderia attended Belen Jesuit Preparatory School and graduated in 1996 then went on to receive his BA in drama from New York University, where he graduated in 2000. But New York was not where he belonged, and the American born Cuban left in 2002 for Los Angeles, where he hasn't moved.

    Before becoming Perez Hilton as we all know him today, Lavanderia attempted to work as an actor, and had several jobs at various magazines. He briefly worked as media relations assistant for LGBT rights. . . .

    Gay turned pro in 1994 and joined the PGA Tour in 1999. He picked up his first win on tour at the Mayakoba Golf Classic at Riviera Maya-Cancun in 2008, with his second win coming at the Verizon Heritage in 2009.[2] He won the event by ten strokes, finishing at 20-under par. The ten stroke victory is the one of the biggest wins in the PGA Tour's history. His best position on the year-end money list is 13th in 2009. He has featured in the top 50 of the Official World Golf Rankings.

    Gay was not exempt to play in the 2009 U.S. Open heading into the St. Jude Classic. He was one of seven golfers who could earn the last spot in the U.S. Open by winning the St. Jude Classic, using the "Winners of multiple PGA Tour events since the last Open" exemption. Gay went on to win by five strokes over David Toms.

    The Utah Flash is a team of the NBA Development League that began playing in 2007. They play their home games at the McKay Events Center on the campus of Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah. The Utah Flash is the affiliate team for the Utah Jazz and the Atlanta Hawks.

    The team name was chosen by a name-the-team contest, with the choices Dash, Flash, Dynos, and Heroes. The Utah Flash name was announced on April 17.

    We are proud to introduce the very first issue of the official UTAH FLASH magazine.

    The Flash play in the NBA Development League. Their home arena is the 8,500 seat McKay Event Center at Utah Valley State College in Orem. All seating is 'lower bowl' and intimate. Also, there will be a Kid Zone provided on the edge of the arena interior for children to play in while parents are watching the game.

    Their 51-game season began in mid-November and runs through mid-April.

    The team supports various community events, including youth basketball.
